Don’t Hesitate if You Need Air Conditioning Installation

Monday, May 7th, 2018

air-conditioning-installationTemperatures are rising every day, and soon enough, every home in the Fort Wayne area is going to need their air conditioner to run on a daily basis. If you need a new air conditioner installed in your home, now is the time to do so. Hesitating could be a big mistake.

Why? Because installing a new air conditioner now means that you’ll avoid a number of issues later on in the summer, such as inefficient operation and flat-out breakdowns. Dealing with such issues in the middle of a heat wave isn’t something anyone wants to deal with. Installing the system now means you’ll be covered by the warranty all summer long – and many summers to come as well – and the improved efficiency of a new unit means that those monthly air conditioning bills won’t be nearly as high as they might otherwise.

winterizing-air-conditioningFall will be here in a few weeks, and with it comes the eventual need to shut down your air conditioner and turn on your heater. Last week, we dealt with getting your heating system up to speed with timely maintenance. This week, we’re going to cover winterizing your air conditioner, and preparing it for months of inactivity as winter arrives.

frost-on-coils

Air conditioning problems are quite common this time of year for obvious reasons. Our AC systems are put to the test each and every day as temperatures climb into the triple digits and beyond sometimes. Ideally, everything will work as intended, but in the event it doesn’t, you need to move quickly. Otherwise, an unexpected breakdown could leave you without proper air conditioning, and turn you home into an oven in the process.

3 Things to Look for in a Commercial AC Service

Monday, July 17th, 2017

rooftop-commercial-ACCommercial air conditioners are even more important than residential air conditioners in many ways. Most of us spend the bulk of our days as a business or retail space, after all, and if you’re either a business owner or an office manager, you know how important a comfortable environment is. A problem with your commercial air conditioners could send customers away in droves, force your employees to work in hot and uncomfortable conditions (or even make you send them home for the day), and even damage key components to your business like computers, which can overheat in the midst of our sweltering Indiana summers.

Spotting a Breach or Leak in Your Ducts

Monday, July 3rd, 2017

duct-breach-repairCentralized heating and air conditioning systems rely on a series of ducts to carry cool air to the various corners of your home. They do the same job in the winter when it comes to hot air from your furnace. They do their jobs well in most cases, and because they’re usually hidden behind the walls or in the attic, they don’t often suffer damage. When they do, however – or even when age and wear-and-tear create leaks or breaches – then it can be very hard to spot the damage.

ductless-air-conditioning

Most homes in the area rely on central air conditioning, a dependable form of technology that does its job quickly and efficiently. The air is cooled in a single unit and then evenly distributed through your house with a series of ducts. It works quite well, but it’s not the only system out there, and depending upon your needs, your home might do better with an alternative model. In particular, ductless air conditioning systems provide a number of benefits that central air doesn’t, though it depends as always on the specifics of your home. Let’s take a closer look at how ductless air conditioning works.
